What is Queerdirect?
Queerdirect is an LGBTQI+ Artist support network, curatorial platform and arts programme based in the UK. It is the UK's first contemporary arts platform and project space dedicated to queer arts. Queerdirect holds regular events and curates exhibitions around London, providing queer artists with a platform and support.
What is Queerdirect PH?
Queerdirect PH is Queerdirect’s chapter in the Philippines. It aims to provide a platform and support system for queer artists in light of the COVID-19 pandemic via a curated website where queer artists’ contributions will be showcased.
​What media do you accept?
Currently, we accept visual (i.e. paintings, digital art, photography, comics), and written works (i.e. short stories, essays, poetry, scripts).
Are there guidelines for these contributions?
You can find the guidelines for the current series of contributions here.
Are we required to use our real names?
No, contributions may be done under a pseudonym.
Can we submit more than one work?
Yes, The maximum is 3 works per contributor.
How do I know if my work will be posted?
We will notify you via email by December 23, 2020 to confirm the posting of your piece on our website.
What works won't you accept?
Queerdirect PH will not accept any works that contain discriminatory or harmful content against any identity, or works that impede on the basic human rights of others, as well as works that don't fit the given theme of the Call for Contributions.
Who will be curating the website?
This will be done by the members of Queerdirect PH in collaboration with Queerdirect UK.
