Artist Statement
I made this zine for Bi Visibility Day, and posted it on my Instagram account. This is what I wrote: The most striking experience of Bi Erasure I’ve witnessed was during my first pride march. There was a huge gathering. The hosts called for the gays to cheer, then the lesbians, then the trans folk. But they did not call the bisexuals. The straights think the bis are closeted gays, and some people feel like bisexuality is actually internalized homophobia. “Pick a side,” they’d say. But we see you and believe you. Live beautifully.
